Define how approvals are recorded and what happens when a requested change falls outside the agreed scope. Use milestone acceptance criteria that both teams can verify, such as a completed checkout test or a successful import of agreed sample records.

Keep domain, hosting, analytics and advertising ownership explicit. Agree account access through appropriate roles rather than sharing a single personal login. At handover, document the relevant repositories, publishing process, integrations and ongoing responsibilities. The written agreement should define payment terms, currency, intellectual property and support scope for that particular engagement.
